Nothing reminds me of my best friend more than a little Robin Gibb. Seems strange, surely, but his awkward falsetto and his musical attention to detail was the soundtrack for my first foray into being an adult.
Robin's later solo work How Old Are You? was something of an anthem for me. Not many others shared in this revery, but eventually some came around.
Robin's Reign took a while for even me to get into, but now is something of a conerstone for me. Nothing matches the sincerity and plaintiff nature of Robin's songwriting (see: 'The Worst Girl In This Town') and few things sound both so dramatic and honest simultaneously. Both bare and ornately adorned, Robin's crown will never fall.
